Background
One of the largest, private timeshare developers in the US, Travel Co has 13 timeshare properties and approx 150,000 members.
Issue
- Digital presence very neglected and very damaged
- Search results were littered with complaint board posts, ripoff report, damaging videos and numerous bad ratings (1 star) from yelp, trip advisor and others.
- Website was over 5 years old and very dated with very low traffic.
- No social presence — 500 Facebook fans — and most of their Facebook page was covered with complaints
Solution
- Rebranded and rebuilt the website and social properties to be mobile responsive, eye-catching and integrated with all of their resort properties
- Built and trained a social media team to engage online users
- Engaged SEO experts and content providers to improve 1st page results
Result – Dramatic Digital Transformation
- Traffic has grown over 50% MOM and YOY since the site launched this spring.
- Shifted the vast majority of negative results to page 2 and beyond and replaced with much more accurate content and links
- Built their social media presence to over 20,000 Facebook fans with very high engagement numbers on Twitter and Pinterest as well.
- Executive team now believes in digital and hired a digital director to continue to grow the relationship between itself and its community
- Co. hired a Digital Director to take over initiatives
