Joe Alouf

Joe Alouf has 24 years of experience overseeing numerous restructurings and turnarounds encompassing middle-market companies in a wide variety of industries. He was formerly Senior Vice President at Prudential Capital, where he led Prudential’s Financial Restructuring Group and had direct management responsibility for more than $2.5 billion of distressed debt and equity investments.

Joe is currently full time committed as President and CFO at Guckenheimer. During his career, Joe has had direct involvement managing corporate reorganizations as well as hands-on experience with in- and out-of-court bankruptcy and corporate reorganizations. He has chaired creditors’ committees for a number of high profile bankruptcies.

He possesses an extensive understanding of all aspects of financings involving mergers and acquisitions, buyouts and recapitalizations, and he has broad knowledge of tax, accounting and regulatory issues affecting both public and private companies.

In late 2008 Joe formed Just Kids Learning Center, a for-profit California Corporation with a network of Bay Area clinics offering speech, occupational and learning therapy to children and adolescents. He teaches the “Fundamentals of Investing” course at San Francisco City College and is an active Board member with Jewish Family and Children Services, a not-for-profit organization that since 1850 has provided comprehensive, caring social services to Bay Area residents of all ages and faiths.

Joe served in the Israeli Air Force and holds an M.B.A. with distinguished honors from New York University.
